The official ceremony scheduled for December 2 has been revealed by the organising committee ahead of the 52nd UAE Union Day. With its setting in Expo City, Dubai, the ceremonial event showcases the UAE's sustainable journey from 1971 to the present, weaving an uplifting tale of solidarity and group effort. Timed to align with COP28 and the Year of Sustainability, the official ceremony will showcase cutting-edge technologies and stunning projections that illustrate the UAE's rich legacy and the historical threads of sustainability and unity, represented by different Sadu weaving elements.

The programme will explore the origins of Emirati culture and history, tradition and technology, and the enduring legacy of our predecessors, all while highlighting our common goal of protecting and enhancing our global community. Inspired by inspiring actionists in the UAE and around the world, the show will highlight the UAE's vision of a sustainable future that is shared with the world through compelling performances and deep storytelling. This vision includes climate adaptation, overcoming obstacles through innovation, and collective action.

On December 2, all local TV stations and the official website will air a live coverage of the ceremonial event.

Residents and citizens of the UAE will have the opportunity to join the public celebration, which takes place from December 5 to December 12, where they may take in the compelling performances and insightful narrative of the UAE's journey towards sustainability.
