22 May 2023
EventThe 32nd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from May 22 to May 28. In addition to showcasing the particular literary and cultural history of the Middle East, the event will deepen relations between the Arab and international publishing communities by bringing together an impressive lineup of renowned writers, thought leaders, and publishers from across the world.
This year's book fair, which is put on by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), a division of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, will emphasise sustainability in keeping with the UAE's proclamation of 2023 as the "Year of Sustainability."
Visitors may anticipate a wide range of activities, events, and seminars that will highlight the publishing industry's top international sustainability practises.
The fair, which is the largest literary event in the Arab world, provides an essential forum for international discussion through speeches by eminent Arab and foreign speakers, including well-known writers, artists, professors, and producers of digital content. With five main programming types—cultural, creative arts, children and youth, specialised professional, and partner programs—the fair will serve a varied audience that includes professionals, consumers, and families.
Participants can take part in a variety of cultural events during the week, including panel discussions, debates, seminars, and poetry readings with well-known figures from the fields of thinking, literature, and media. Additionally, visitors will get the chance to meet and get books autographed by their favourite writers.
