News EventThe 30th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) got underway on Friday marking the beginning of the season's largest shopping bargains and grand raffles.
DSF Nights kicked off the first weekend, and Dubai Festival City Mall had fireworks. Every night, the city's skyline will continue to shine with free fireworks at the same mall at 9.15 p.m. and twice-weekly pyrotechnics over Hatta on weekends at 8 p.m.
Two drone performances will take place every day, along with a fireworks and drones spectacular that will illuminate the skies over Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR. With over 150 drones carrying the fireworks, the pyro drone shows will light up the skies throughout the second weekend of DSF, while the DSF drone show will feature twice-daily performances at 8 and 10 p.m., according to the organizers.
The Coca-Cola Arena's opening weekend performance, which included Georges Wassouf and Kadim Al Sahir, was enjoyed by music lovers. Coke Studio Live will feature South Asian music selected by Zulfiqar (Xulfi) Khan on Sunday, December 8.
Street shows, dance classes, artistic workshops, street games, glitter face painting, and photo ops also appeared at other DSF locations in Dubai, such as City Walk, which was converted into a retail carnival.
With outdoor entertainment, family-friendly events, and spectacular fireworks every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Hatta Wadi Hub was also converted into a joyous gathering place for adventurers and environment lovers.
"This year would be the most extraordinary season ever in the festival’s history with an action-packed calendar brimming with non-stop, day-in-day-out, fun-filled moments for everyone, every day, in every corner of the city from December 6 until January 12, 2025," said Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the event's organiser.
