News EventTo commemorate the Dubai Metro's 15th anniversary, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) inaugurated an integrated scholarship program for 15 students born on September 9, 2009. The extensive scholarship program embodies the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, to develop the human capital of the nation and is in line with the principles of the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
There are three stages to the scholarship program's support for students.
The first phase, which lasts for two academic years, includes field trips to railway project sites, practical training at RTA during summer and winter holidays, and participation in crucial training programs with key partners.
The fourth and fifth years of university education are covered in the second phase. In this stage, students are awarded scholarships to pursue a specific bachelor's degree in engineering connected to railroads. During the summer and winter vacations, this phase also entails training programs at RTA, leadership forums, and important events hosted by RTA, as well as field trips to railway project locations.
Graduates will work at the Rail Agency and enrol in RTA's Fast Track Program for Engineers in the third phase. The program is intended to help engineers improve their technical and administrative abilities over a two-year period. As the future generation of RTA professionals, participants will have the chance to improve their careers quickly. In addition to a variety of technical training, they will also get recognised professional certifications in Project Management and Value Engineering.
