$1.3 billion Reem Mall, home to Abu Dhabis first indoor snow park, took place on Wednesday

Wednesday saw the much-anticipated opening of the $1.3 billion Reem Mall, which is home to Abu Dhabi's first indoor snow park. The newest retail attraction is set to provide the local population with a number of distinctive and cutting-edge services. 

According to Bruce von Kaufmann, the director of the mall, it has taken about ten years from the groundbreaking to the soft opening, which took place more than a year ago, to the grand inauguration by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

Al Farwaniya Property Developments, a joint venture between Agility Global, United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC), and the National Real Estate Company (NREC), is responsible for the development of the mall. 

Among the mall's more than 400 store spaces, including roughly 80 food and beverage options, the mall's distinctive selling proposition is the sub-zero Snow Park Abu Dhabi, according to von Kaufmann.

The mall is hosting a summer carnival with exciting events, live performances, music, and entertainment as part of the inauguration.

By the end of the year, a number of services, such as a cloud space that serves as a co-working space for startups and small businesses, and a novel idea similar to a phygital store that blends the digital and physical worlds, are anticipated to be unveiled, according to Von Kaufmann.

The 6,400 parking spaces are distributed over two basement floors and four levels above ground. The mall will be releasing a new app next month that includes a special feature that allows you to track your trip back to your car.
